This is what they call a dog’s life. Your human drops you off in the morning, you play and play and PLAY! They pick you up and once you are home it’s time for dinner and a nap. You don’t have any desire (or energy) to chase the cat or gum the couch. Could life get better? Not! Dogs at Play is basically one big (and little) dog party. Well, okay, there’s a bit of learning mixed in.
The Dogs at Play daycare facility is worth drooling over. Inside there is 3,000 square feet of rubber-flooring to race around on. The great outdoors consist of 2 large securely fenced areas for play and you-know-what. This might be a dog’s idea of heaven. Add soft beds, lots of buddies and the most experienced dog wranglers in town – it's a great way to spend a day. You'll never want to leave!
It's not all about play here. All day, every day, basic good manners and obedience are reinforced. For those young or undereducated dogs out there, good manners are taught. For example: barking, jumping and begging, are not allowed. The wranglers will freshen beverages, fluff blankies and keep the yard "duty" free. In return they expect the pups to sit when asked, come when called and wait to be invited before launching onto a lap or racing through the door.
Before accepting a new dog into our pack, we spend a short time getting to know each other. For our safety and yours, all new dogs are interviewed. Shy or fearful pups (of all ages) can build confidence and learn to play appropriately. Everyone (dogs and staff) has a regular schedule, so you make friends and see them every week. This isn’t the place for short tempered or aggressive dogs to learn. We require that all dogs be spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian for DHPP & Rabies, flea-free, properly licensed and have a negative fecal before their interview.
Everything you need we have, or can get. Tons of food brands, treats, toys, collars, leashes and pick up bags fill the lobby. Special orders and reasonable prices are our pleasure.
